Tromb and Substorm keeps expanding with newly opened office in Gothenburg

Substorm and Tromb, experts within digitalization, continue to expand their businesses with an office in Gothenburg, which will be their fifth office in total. With the expansion, the two companies aim to further strengthen their position on the AI and Digitalization market.

– A lot of exciting innovation within AI is taking place in Gothenburg right now. This makes it a natural next step for us to establish ourselves in the city. We already have several clients that would like to see our services in the region, as well as employees living and working out of Gothenburg today, says Anders Hallberg, CEO at Tromb.

Substorm and Tromb’s offerings are in high demand right now, as more and more companies are evaluating their current ways of working with digitalization and subsequently speeding up the same. Tromb’s Digital Business Developers alongside Substorm’s focus and expertise in AI and Machine Learning has already helped several companies, a number of them Gothenburg-based, to take huge leaps in their digitalization journeys.

Substorm has had an incredible start since we launched a bit over a year ago. Since launch, we have had an employee growth from none to almost 20, and we were also recently mentioned as one of Europe’s leading AI-Startups within our area. We take this as a reassurance that our way of offering intelligent automation services by, for example, strategic management, RPA, and various AI technologies, is currently in high demand
Sofi Elfving, CEO of Substorm

The two companies are seeing a lot of potential on the Swedish West Coast market and are expecting that the expansion will lead to around 30 new employment opportunities altogether in both Gothenburg and at the offices in northern Sweden. The new Gothenburg office has already opened on Järntorget, and in addition to the employees that are already working out of Gothenburg, the process of recruiting a Sales Manager to the office has started.

– There are many aspects of an expansion that needs to be thoroughly planned and executed. An employee from our Luleå office is relocating to Gothenburg in order to lead the expansion on-site, and help the Gothenburg team with building the best foundation for bringing Tromb and Substorm’s unique culture and straight forward ways of working to the Gothenburg market. We estimate to have at least 10 Tromb employees in Gothenburg by the end of 2021. However, this will be realized by finding the right talent to come work with us and by continuing to meet our clients’ needs within the areas of Digitalization and Automation. We see no inherent value in growing for the sake of it, instead, we want and need to grow organically together with our clients and by recruiting top talent, says Anders Hallberg, CEO of Tromb.

– At Substorm, we see this expansion both as an opportunity to work closely with the many interesting companies on the West Coast, as well as gaining access to top talent in the area. With the established automobile industry recently making many investments in Artificial Intelligence, Gothenburg has become a top hub for AI technologies. For us, this is a great complement to the more industry-heavy cluster of AI-ventures coming out of the Luleå University of Technology that we are working with in northern Sweden. Our hope and belief is that our positive spirit and high competence level will attract both new clients and colleagues to the Tromb and Substorm Gothenburg office, says Sofi Elfving, CEO, Substorm.
